This is the first digital photo I ever took. I don't remember the year, but it was between 2000-2003. I borrowed a camera from work and when I left yoga class I saw this rhodie bush behind the building and yanked out the camera and took a quick shot...I was very surprised later because I hadn't intended this composition, and I was pleased! I'd never used a display to compose and couldn't see well through the viewfinder, but lo and behold...suddenly I became aware of the **lake positioned right there**...I hadn't noticed it before because, well, I'd never walked behind the building before, and I was always in a hurry coming and going to the class. The experience was an eye-opener in several ways.
